Really appreciated the ability to complete the classroom session online at your own pace and still receive quality material/instruction. Very responsive to questions, etc via email as well, and even though it took us forever to book our field day, Brittany was always accommodating. Our field day was great with Kristen, she provided a very comfortable learning atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for any kind of avalanche training.

We did AST1 with Stay Wild and it was FABULOUS! The online course in advance was really well done. I did not expect to like it but I learned a ton! We loved the field day, especially our instructor Kristen. She really knew her stuff and was well organized, patient and willing/able to answer any and all questions we had. We were talking with someone on the lift at Revy the next day, and they knew of Kristen and said she is one of the best! The communication with Stay Wild was clear and effective leading up to the course and the resources they provided were great. I would highly recommend Stay Wild!

I took AST 2 with Stay Wild Backcountry Skills. The course really changed my whole approach and mentality towards travelling in mountains. It was both enlightening and empowering. I took my AST 2 with Stay Wild this past weekend.
I really enjoyed the course! The online portion was informative and easy to navigate. And the on snow portions were great. Alex was very knowledgeable, and a great teacher. For me the highlight was growing in confidence to make decisions as a group, with just the right amount of guidance from Alex. Despite the quite stable snowpack in Fernie currently, I felt like I came away from the course with the tools and knowledge to make smart decisions when that isn’t the case!
